Slap in the Face
It was right before my 55th birthday and I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. While at the rheumatologist, she did blood work and told me I had hep C. She said, by my numbers, I had probably had it 20 years or more.
During that time 20 years ago, I was going through a very abusive relationship. So, it was just a slap in the face that this person I was married to at the time is still interfering with my life.
I’m just very depressed.
