Could I have gotten hepatitis C from a blood transfusion this summer?
I'm a sickle cell patient who had blood transfusion in June 2020 and just today my test result for HVC came out positive how long could it be as a result if the blood transfusion?
The blood supply in the USA has been safe since 1992. You cannot get hepatitis virus from having a blood transfusion. I hope you are doing well. Speak to a physician about treating hepatitis C. We have a cure now.
