Is anyone take Epclusa and living with COPD?

Hi, I’m supposed to start Epclusa treatment next week I’m 65yrs old geno 3 hi VL F1 fibro 7.3 recently diagnosed emphysema (COPD). The trouble with starting treatment is I’m into week 2 of quitting cigarettes. I feel completely exhausted, don’t know if my body can handle treatment and quitting. I’m running out of time any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi davoe. I just wanted to check in with you to see how you’re doing. If you started treating I believe you should be about week 3 now. Were you able to begin? I also have COPD (no fun) and got severe bronchitis while treating 3 years ago. I was able to nebulize and made it through to cure. Stopping smoking helped me a lot and I know just how hard it is. (I was a many time quitter) How is that going? Well, I was just thinking of you and wondering how you were friend. Hope to hear back from you. All best to you (Randy, Community Moderator)

Hi Randy ,thanks for your concern ,im about to start my last bottle of pills ,tx has been ok still trying to cut back on cigs. I would really like to know if tx is working but liver nurse says must finish tx before VL is checked ,i just hope its working an not effecting my immune system ,i have had a few days of nausea and ringing in ears nothing too serious i hope ,copd hasnt improved tx seems very exhausting ,iv mentioned it to liver nurse but certainly wasnt very concerned at all ,i thought they would be abit careing an check up sometimes as iv rang her an she never replies calls ,just tells me i worry too much ,i know this is apowerful med and not much must be known about it ,i was just expeting a bit of back up from them?i thought they would be interested how my blood work was going and maybe help me with the anxiety that goes with it.still feel like a guinea pig, anyway thanks for your reply guess i will just keep going with pills and hope no other damage is being done.iv tried the nic patches but they made me feel worse.thanks again any ideas or thoughts appreciated.
