Has any one else only just discovered about annual payments made to people infected with hep c from infected nhs blood etc?

I had blood transfusions in 1988. In 2000 I was told I had Hep C. After that I had the treatment and was 'cured'. I received the 20.000 payment and was provided with a form to claim part two 25.000. If I developed liver cancer. That was that. Life goes on . I moved . Divorced. Changed banks etc etc. Now in 2018 I discover subjects about the Skipton Fund and now the EIBSS. Since yesterday. It's all a bit much to take in and do not know where to start ? I cannot be the only person in this situation ?
