Curious about treatments

I have become nervous reading some testimonials about some bad side effects some people are experiencing for a long time after finishing hep c treatment. I am curious which treatment is less likely to cause long term side effects? Is mavyret better recieved than epclusa by people here? or any others? And how likely is one to experience some of these really bad side effects?

  1. Hi . I am glad you posted here as well and I hope you get some responses that further allay your fears. Warmly. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. how can i connect with people that have had the 56 week treatment of interferon and riboviran long term side effects

      1. hi amyjean
I was on the same interferon & riboviran for 1 year. However I landed in hospital 2 weeks before I could finish. I ended up with interferon toxicity! I have long term side effects for years now. Muscle weakness & chronic daily pain. Interferon did Not work. However a few years ago I went on another drug for 3 months & now I'm hepatitis cured . But I believe interferon is still in my cells & causing long term side effects!!!!

      2. I am glad you finally were cured, , but what an ordeal! Do you mind me asking what kind of side effects you are contending with? Thinking of you and sending the very best of wishes your way. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. Hi Lori. I have joint & muscle pain. & Sciatica.Neuropathy in my upper body & lower. Headaches. Nerve pain. Insomnia
Brain fog. I cannot take pain meds so I've tried all alternative treatments. I just went to a pain clinic & I'm trying 2 different LOW DOSE off label meds so I'm hoping one will help. I will post them if I think they are helping. One is a pain rub that doesn't go into the bloodstream. The chronic pain interfere with daily life. Thank you! Love to read all the posts

      1. Chronic pain really can be debilitating, . I hope this new drug/cream combination is effective and that you finally get some relief. Please do let me know how it goes. I will be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
