What is the difference between being a hep carrier and hep c?

Carrier is not a word that we use when describing someone who is living with hep c. It evokes the image of dirty and nasty to many of us who have lived with hep c and continue to work in trying to remove stigma in the language used, and reminds me of Typhoid Mary.
