Constantly Worried

I was diagnosed with hep c in November 2021. I felt every emotion possible when I was informed I had this virus. I’m told by my specialist I have cirrhosis stage 4 but compensated.

I finished Mayvret at the end of March and just had a follow up showing my platelets are still low as well as my white blood cells. They just told me we will watch it. I also an enlarged spleen.

Jinny Lyn, I totally get where you're coming from. I watched my labs constantly after treatment. I'm hoping you got to read the story about your spleen that I wrote. The healing from Hep C can take time and patience. What great news to hear you are cured! But then, the news that your platelets haven't caught up yet can be discouraging. I'm so glad you're part of the community and are keeping informed about what is happening to your body. Thanks so much for sharing your story. Stay in touch! Jinny, I understand about having about every emotion possible. In 2018, I was informed that I had Stage 2 liver fibrosis, stage 2 kidney failure and I was already born with congenital heart disease and an enlarged spleen. It definitely overwhelming to hear the words that you have Hepatitis c and liver failure. I was a bit devastated to hear that about myself. In 2019, I decided to do what most people would think was unthinkable when I willingly accepted a Hep C donor’s heart for my heart transplant to save my life.

Thank you for checking! Yes I feel well although my ultrasounds show cirrhosis but stable. My labs are good except for my platelets ( still low) and WBC still a couple points low. My energy is really good! So I just pray that I can stay on this track.
