Planning to get HepC – is it curable?

My mom might be getting a kidney transplant from a HepC deceased donor. As a result of this transplant, my mom would acquire HepC. Doctors are claiming that HepC is completely curable with certain medications. Just wanted to get everyone’s opinion about this.

    Hi helpchelp!
The answer to your question is absolutely yes! Many organ recipients are now receiving kidneys from Hep C infected donors ( sadly, too many are passing) The really good news is that they are treated for HepatitisC after transplant and the cure success rate is very high! The new drugs are easy to tolerate. Wishing your mom a successful transplant and a good team of doctors to see her through to a healthy life and an easy treat and cure for the Hep C! All care and please let us know how she’s doing ok? (Randy, Community Moderator)

I got treated in a foreign country and the entire 12 week medication and blood tests only cost me about $1,300. If you don’t have insurance and don’t want to die I can tell you how to do it.
