Never used needles…what are other known causes of HepC?
Never used needles…so what else could it be?
I received Hep C because I willingly accepted a Hepatitis C heart from a 29 year old female intravenous drug user. I’ve never used needles, however I did have liver failure due to my congenital heart disease. My case is rare, but there are now people who willingly accept a Hep C organ. (Leslie, Community Moderator) my mum received a blood transfusion while having my sister who also had hepc because of the blood they gave them !

! Great question! While sharing needles is one known cause of hep C, it is far from the only one. Hep C is spread via blood-to-blood contact, and therefore can be spread from mother to child during pregnancy, blood transfusions, sexual contact, and more.
