What is the worst side effect of Hep C treatment?

I am just going to my 1st dr visit on Sept. 25th. So i am curious of others experiences with treatment. I also have such great hope in my mind that i will be so much healthier after treatment is done and will look and feel like a new person. I have had HepC for 20+ years unknowingly. Thats a long time to carry a virus slowly destroying your body. I was 44yr old at onset...66 now! Thank you for any information.
