When you're not eating well, or enough food, it’s easy to become dehydrated. Drinking water is great, but your body is craving some substance. Bone broth, especially when there are added vegetables, adds carbohydrates and balances your electrolytes.
Blood Sugar Support
Many with hepatitis C need support for insulin production. When your body gets out of whack, your sugar levels can go up and down. Maintaining regularity with your meals and keeping protein in your blood stream can help.

Bone broth can be purchased as a liquid, much like regular broth. There is less sodium, and by itself, it may not taste so great. However, it’s easy to spruce up and cook a cup of bone broth soup. By having some handy in the fridge, you can always heat up a cupful, and sip on it slowly during the hungriest times.
Which kind is best?
Sometimes you may want an easy chicken flavored soup, with potatoes and celery. On another occasion, you may want the flavor of beef with broccoli or peas. Adding some meat is also a good idea. Talk to your doctor about any special dietary needs you might have. Some people who are vegetarian, may even find that bone broth benefits with hepatitis C may help them with lagging energy.
