Dealing with Hepatitis C, Money, and Confidence

Not everyone has good health insurance and has enough money to pay for all the medical bills. It's hard enough to deal with hepatitis C already and all the problems that come together with it. Never allow yourself to be overwhelmed because it, the truth is, yes, there was a time I felt suffocated with it, until I realized that if I believe, I can do it. I felt afraid, and I used to ask the questions: What if I can't do it? Or if I don't get it? Or if nobody helps? All those questions make us feel weak and blind to see what the universe, God, is doing already in our favor. I want you to know that it doesn't matter what; you always will have someone to help.

Emotions as a caregiver/partner

Don't be afraid to ask, but please don't wait to get help from a specific person you think you will have the support from; It can disappoint you a lot, and we do not need it at this moment. I went through it, and it hurts. People imagine that when you need help in this situation, they automatically think the only help you need is money. You'll learn who is really beside you; we need to know who is our real friend at this time.

Love, comprehension, and attention are some of the most important things a family that is going through it needs. At this time, we can be sad, mad, annoying with our conversation, feeling blue all the time, scary and the list goes on. Some people will judge you because they are not going through the same thing, and today the majority of people don't have this kind of empathy. Don't let it put you down; Remember, believe with all your heart that if you lose some friend in this situation, God always will put another person in front of you to help. Be strong!

Ways to raise money to pay hep C bills

When I start to believe in it and ask for help, things begin to happen. If you are going to the same situation that I went through, don't worry, it can be done. There are so many "angels" out there. I'm so grateful for the people who helped me here; Chick-fil-A did a fundraiser for us. My neighbor's church included us in their annual golf fundraiser, where Best Buy donated a TV to help, and the local restaurant in my city Hanaki Sushi also helped with a dinner gift. One of my daughter's counselor at the school suddenly started to help and sold the raffle tickets at the school. Family and friends in Brazil did a raffle for us too. Kimberly Morgan helped us with the Bonnie Morgan Foundation for HCV - it was a blessing. These are just a few examples that you can start to think about it.

The miracles are around us

Suddenly people that I even didn't know were helping us with so much love! Yes, some people will tell you it is difficult, they will say that people don't help like this, it's not a good time of the year, it goes on. Don't let these people put you down. As a caregiver/partner, we need to find a way to be emotionally uninvolved with the response people give to us. At the time, I suffered because of it. Today I can comprehend that everyone gives you what they have inside of them. You will win this battle; it doesn't matter how difficult it is; remember, we will have a negative response if we think negatively. I want to share this song from FearlessSoul with you because "I believe in Miracles". How about you? Visit my page on Instagram, _unlockyourthoughts.
