When You Disagree with The Doctor

The doctor-patient relationship is based on mutual respect. When you disagree with the doctor, you can voice your concerns in a respectful way. Start off by writing the concern down. What are you feeling, or thinking about? Maybe you want to try something different, or would like a better answer.

Let your doctor know if you are unhappy and give them a chance to look for a solution. If it doesn’t work, you may need to get your records and move on for a second opinion. I hope this helps when you disagree with the doctor.
