Why HepatitisC.net?

Why read information at this site? We look at Hepatitis C, not as a mark of a lesser person, but as an illness with new cures. And many of us are Hep C survivors, including me. We know what goes on emotionally and attempt to put words to those emotions. I went through treatment twice in the old days with Ribavirin and Interferon. And I have been without the virus for five years. That is a hell of a difference from dying of Hepatitis C.

I lost a bit of my soul. My depression is lifted but not gone. Yes, I am changed. But I also like the new me. I am kinder, less likely to anger or judge. More likely to enjoy that which is in front of me. So as you read our stuff, please know that we are you, not just science types.
