Hi, I'm sherry I have had Hep C for 23 years and have been doing okay until the last couple of months. I think every Hep C symptoms I been feeling all at once and I'm really scared of the treatment for Hep C the side effects are crazy I know I have to but I am very confused. Thanks

Hi Sherry. I remember having the same feeling you are talking about. Please believe me when I say treatment with the newer direct-acting drugs is not bad at all. Some people complain of a bit of fatigue and headache. We can do anything for 12 weeks. It truly isn't bad and when you get the news you are cured you will really be happy. Go for it! I did. The side effects were minimal.

 Kewl. Thank you for posting also. I can relate to Sherry as far as being scared. But I'm getting pretty desperate now. If I can get the help to get my treatment, I'm all in.

 Hi. I know the feeling Sherry. Its places like this that help support this situation. I'm waiting to see the gastronoligist? I wonder if I have to get treatment. I get worried but then again I can accept it so far. I just dont know what to expect, that's all. They make it so mysterious.

Hey, I know how U feel. I don't have insurance or the $ to afford treatment myself. But I'm having issues.. hopefully things will get better for people that need life saving treatments. I just joined this group and page yesterday. Good luck on your journey and the cure. You can do it. If u are fortunate enough to be able to get it, get it! It wont last that long and consider the fact that you will be healthier afterward. You can do it! Peace, Light and love your way. Lori

 Thanks for the kind words. I dont know what to expect. I have the insurance, but what good is it if you cant be seen. I read somewhere that they did a study on coffee and it slows it down from damage 40%. I wonder. Peace light and love

No one has contacted me yet. It's been three weeks. I went back to my Dr. to go over my diagnosis and she said I am otherwise healthy and I could be cured? I worry about that because the cure may be worse than the disease. I just need to know where I stand and that will help most. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. You are appreciated. Hi Lauren, So, I contacted my doctor and she said oh, they should have contacted you by now. Here is there number. I called the GI and the said their earliest appo. Is in July. Of course I took it but it seems so far away after my diagnosis. I have no real symptoms yet. Just aches in my legs some nights. That seems so far away. Sincereley, Curious

Hi Lauren, Thank you for responding. My doctor said to take my antidepressants for three weeks straight, use tylenol for the pain. They said that is the earliest time they have for me. Doctor says I'm otherwise healthy?? I guess I can go to the emergency room if I need to. I took the antidepressant and I must say it totally helped. I guess I will put one foot in front of the other and keep going on. I feel better because I told a counselor and she gave me encouragement also. . Hi sherry, I’ve had hep c #1 for about 30 yrs myself, I was starting to get really sick for a couple days, then fine for a month, sick for a couple days, fine for a month, I knew something serious was wrong, got my viral load checked and it was over a million, when it’s over a million, the drs will treat you.... I’ve been on epclusa for 8 days now and I’ve had absolutely no side effects from it, only constipation.... you have to try Sherry! Have faith!

Hi Sherry, I finally called again and was told, Oh your doctor wont be here in July so you can see an NP. I saw her and they took lots of bloodwork to tell them more info. They say I'm at the beginning stage with no cirrhosis. They will contact me after my insurance cleared my medication treatment. Also they want me to get vac. For hep B and A because I am not immune to it. I wish I knew what to expect from the treatment. Will I be sick from it? And will I still be able to function. And most if all, will it help.

Hi Sherry, I hope you are moving right along on you road to recovery. I dont have anyone to talk to about my disease. Tonight I will take my first dose. My leap of faith. If you have any suggestions I could use them. Sending you peace and light
