Hep C and Me

Never in a million years would I think at the age of 24 I would be diagnosed with Hepatitis C. It's been 7 years since my blood test diagnosis and 6 since my liver biopsy. Everyone who has been diagnosed has probably gone through the various stages of denial, confusion, depression, anger, acceptance. It's eerily similar to the stages of grief, right? You can't think of it as losing yourself once diagnosed. You have to find the strength to fight for your rights. It's taken 7 years, but I have the strength to overcome this battle and help others along the way.
