Does hep c lower or alter your blood glucose in any way?

I know that type 2 diabetes affects more hep C patients than it does the general population. Whether the virus actually has an impact on glucose levels is beyond my level of understanding. It is a good question for your hep doc or your endocrinologist. I can tell you that I cleared the virus in 2013 and my glucose levels are about the same as when I was first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2010. (Sue, Community Moderator)
