"Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope everyone had a good World Hepatitis Day ❤️💛 & has a good rest of the summer =] I'm still tryna wrap my head around how my baby will be in 6th grade already, he may not be a baby anymore but he knows he'll always be my baby lol Crazy to think exactly a decade ago I just found out I was infected with hep c & the crazy journey that would take me on leading to being almost 9yrs cured now. Some days I still feel the aftereffects of when I had hep c (mainly fatigue that never fully recovered along with some inflammation once ina while) but I couldn't be more proud of the hep community for getting us to where we are today, I only wish I would've had a site like this to go to when I was first infected & felt alone & scared but I'm glad the hep community has only gotten stronger & have each other's backs.. during a time of division & choas, the hep community has always remained strongly together regardless of your beliefs or culture or whatever it is, at the end of the day the hep community has shown me that unity & kindness towards each other always prevails in the end & reminds me there's still hope for the future. Thank you to all of you who have been apart of that inspiration & determination to keep fighting for what's right including access to hep cures without all the roadblocks & mind games I had to go through (&I'm sure many others during that time period) in 2014-15 just to fight to save my life with a cure that a pharmaceutical company was willing to help me get but my state decided to play political games to try stopping the company from helping me.. in the end we won, but it makes me happy to see people in my community not having to worry about that nonsense anymore & having easier access to the cures. It just shows how far the progress everyone in the hep community has accomplished & I just wanted to take time to recognize that & thank the hep community for all the work they've been putting into this fight to make sure everyone has access to the cures, you all deserve so much more credit than you get so shout out to all the hep community! ❤️💛🫶🏼"
Happy Tuesday and happy belated World Hepatitis Day to you as well,
