"Hello, I have a question hopefully someone can help me answer. 66-year-old male diagnosed hip to see in 1995 and successful series interferon+Riboviren . Was forced to quit halfway through treatment into a feeling thyroid, had been damaged by 50%, still on Synthroid today. My question follows I also have chronic pain from a brain surgery + 850+ mile an hour we were in collision by a drunk driver. Hence I am currently on opioids although the dose is considerably less than once was. However I have horrible insomnia and do not sleep well. The only sleep aid that ever helped was a low-dose benzodiazepine. problem no one wants to give a benzodiazepine to someone taking opiates. I have tried every other sleep aid to no avail. The only other thing that helps is an ounce of whiskey at bedtime. I begin taking Maverick in a day or so, is it safe to drink 1 ounce of alcohol while taking the Maverick?"
