Starting treatment
I have been putting off treatment my viral load is 5 million I've had hepatitis c for about 35 years and cleared hep b.
My problem is that I have a very sensitive stomach and other meds like penicillin or anti depressants kill me...can't stomach them...so I am terrified to start treatment and not finish due to stomach
Is there anyone out there who has gone through this..I would appreciate any helpful words of advice please.

I totally understand about having an upset stomach with medications. As for myself, I was taking about 35 pills when I had to take Hep C medication. I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t have a problem with a Hep C medication with only one or two pills, but with more pills than that, it was pretty rough. I received a Hep C heart in 2019. The new treatments are nothing compared to the old treatments. The new treatments have almost no side affects on your body and mind daily. All done by pills today and in 12 weeks. Old treatments used injections and those meds did have some serious side affects. Don't be scared. I had a rare Hep C genotype that was only curable by the newer medications since 2015. I had to have 2 transplants because of this rare genotype, only cured by today's drugs. So sweet to reach out...really helped me.
